Zoom Teeth Whitening

Having whiter, brighter teeth can be a fantastic and immediate way to makeover your appearance without the need for invasive treatments or extensive cosmetic dentistry. This is ideal if you have a special event coming up and want to get camera-ready, or if you simply want to boost your confidence by transforming your smile.

Here at the Carnaby Laser Clinic and Academy, we offer Zoom WhiteSpeed teeth whitening, which is an in-office procedure that can only be performed by suitably qualified professionals.

Zoom Teeth Whitening FAQs

When you come into Carnaby Laser Clinic and Academy for Zoom teeth whitening, we will apply a special whitening gel to your teeth using a dam to keep the product on your teeth and away from your gums. The main active ingredient in this gel is Hydrogen Peroxide.

Once the gel has been applied, we will direct Zoom’s laser light on to your teeth. This activates the Hydrogen Peroxide, causing it to break down and penetrate the surface of your teeth. As oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, the whitening properties lighten your teeth and can give an average improvement of eight shades.

In the UK, professional teeth whitening can only be offered by a GDC registered dentist. Without proper guidance or a professional-strength product, you may find that your teeth whitening treatment is ineffective at best and, at its worst, could put you at risk of burns, tooth damage and more.

By having a professional tooth whitening treatment, you have the peace of mind of knowing that the treatment will be tailored to your individual needs and that every possible step will be taken to help you manage issues with sensitivity.

You should only need a single treatment session of 45 minutes for your teeth to look noticeably whiter and brighter.
Most people find that their teeth keep their whiter shade for approximately a year. However, this will depend on your diet and lifestyle – drinks such as red wine or lifestyle choices such as smoking can all discolour and yellow your teeth.
Extensive research and clinical studies show Zoom to be a safe tooth whitening product when used under the supervision and guidance of a GDC registered dentist.

One of the main side effects associated with teeth whitening is increased sensitivity, but because we can adjust Zoom’s settings, most patients find that this isn’t a problem for them. If you are worried about sensitivity, we may recommend that you switch to an anti-sensitivity toothpaste before and after your treatment.

To help keep your teeth looking fantastic, it’s important that you brush and floss your teeth twice a day, and that you attend regular dental check-ups and hygienist appointments.

If you experience any sensitivity, do contact us straightaway.
